This is our own personal beach. i've never really seen people here, but its only about 80 minutes from Taibei and the drive is amazing. I will be here EVERY weekend this summer.
They rent surf boards here super cheap. So its totally possible to get up, ride here on my bike, surf and ride home all in one day.
30 kilometers north is a beach with yellow sand that you can snorkel at... as soon as i get a chance to go there, i will for sure post pics.
