Biography of Dr. Eric Yarnell

Eric Yarnell, ND, RH, graduated from Bastyr University in 1996 and has practiced in Denver, Sedona, Phoenix, and Seattle. Dr. Yarnell completed a two year residency with Silena Heron, ND, founder of the department of botanical medicine at Bastyr University and one of the greatest living herbalists and naturopathic physicians. Dr. Yarnell became chair of the department of botanical medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ after completing training with Dr. Heron. He is a founding member and current president of the Botanical Medicine Academy. Dr. Yarnell is adjunct professor of botanical medicine at Bastyr University and was previously an associate professor in this department.

Dr. Yarnell is past senior editor of the Journal of Naturopathic Medicine and is currently working with the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians to revive this publication. He is president of Healing Mountain Publishing, Inc. and is the author of numerous textbooks and articles.
