Abhangs are devotional (“bhakthi”) hymns in Marathi language composed by the great saint poets of Maharashtra (in India). The word "Abhang" (A + Bhang) means unbreakable, pure or faultless. Abhang is usually sung in praise of the Hindu god Krishna, also known as Vithala and Vithoba.

Emphasis of Karma Phala Tyaga

The word karma in the case of a human being means the work done to earn money, which is essential for his food and offering the food to the guest. Money required for the self and his family is called ‘sareera yatra’ in Gita. Money required to prepare food to offer to the guest is called ‘yajna karma’. The word karma in Gita was used in these two meanings in the context of a human being (sareera yatra pichate, yajnah karma samudbhavah). Therefore the fruit of the work means only money.

The first mantra of the first Upanishad speaks about enjoyment and sacrifice of money (kasyasvit dhanam). The mantra says that the entire creation is the wealth of the Lord and one should store the money for his minimum enjoyment and the rest should be sacrificed to the Lord who comes in the human form for His mission to uplift this world. The second mantra says that one should continuously work and earn. Vasista said that money is the root of all this worldly family bonds (Dhanamulamidam jagat). When money is absent all the family members will leave you. All the family members and relatives approach you only due to money just like the frogs are present in the tank when it is full of water.

The ‘Srichakram’ means the wheel that surrounds the money. Therefore when the sacrifice of money comes into the picture, all the fraud devotees will run away because in their hearts the attraction to the family bonds exists as solidified darkness. Only the true devotees will stand, in whose hearts the darkness is removed and the light of divine knowledge exists. The Lord came in human form and tested ‘Saktuprasta’ in the sacrifice of the food, which is another form of money. In draught he could secure a little flour and he was fasting for the past ten days. He was not tested in any other way of words and mind (japa, parayana, dhyana etc.). A real devotee will stand in this root test and this is the real fire test.

If the bond with the money is cut, all th

True Essence of Yoga
Yoga is the most prestigious field of spiritualism. People think about 6 wheels (Chakras) or lotus flowers present in the spinal card, which are not seen by the eyes. They are imaginary and so they carry some inner meaning. When you say a face as a moon, fools search for moon in that face. But, wise people see similarity in the face and moon. Similarly, wheels and lotus flowers should not be searched in the spinal card. Spinal card is the main nerve, representing mind, which is the base of love.

All these wheels or lotus flowers are the bonds of love in the various relatives like parents, wife or husband, children etc. They are compared to wheels or the revolving whirlpools in the ocean, which attract a swimmer and drown him. Similarly, these love wheels are compared to lotus flowers, since the lotus flowers attract the bee by sweet fragrance and bind it. Similarly, these love flowers attract any one and bind them. “Kundalini” is the mind which is the energy travelling as waves like a serpent, should cross all these love wheels connected to 7th lotus flower in the head called “Sahasrara”, which is Buddhi or intelligence that takes the decision, which is the firm love on God.

Bhagavat Gita is called as the main scripture of Yoga (Yoga-Sastra). Why there is not even single reference to these wheels or lotus flowers in anywhere in Gita or even in Upanishats? Since they are not real, they are not even mentioned. The author of the Gita was Krishna, who was called Master of Yoga (Yogeswara). Krishna also says that the real yoga was lost since long (Sa kaleneha mahata….). This means that in the beginning, Sages in India knew the real yoga and loved God only crossing all their family bonds. In due course of time only, this true yoga was lost. Why? The middle age Indians were unable to cross their family bonds and so failed to succeed in Yoga.

They wanted to cover their in ability by twisting the very concept of yoga. The family bonds were remo

Devotion

The relationship of the devotee with the Lord is called devotion. Devotion is love for he Lord. Love is proved by service or seva. Claims of love without service are fraudulent. Praying, meditation, intellectual discussions, words, feelings or singing hymns does not substantiate devotion. If a husband loves his wife then he must serve her when she is ill. If he just sits by her side with his eyes closed or meditates upon her or chants her name aloud, while refusing to practically serve her by giving her medicines, food and drink, then he is only making a show of love; he does not really love her. The one who really loves her will serve her.

The Lord is pleased only with total devotion. The Gita says “eka bhakti? visi?yate”. He wants the devotee to love Him alone; not anyone or anything else. Nobody or nothing should be equal to Him. He will make the devotee reach this stage of devotion. This is the essence of all the datta parik?a or the tests of the Lord. The devotee will be tested severely till he breaks all bonds with everyone and everything in the world, till only the bond with the Lord remains. The Lord does not compromise in this aspect. He will not tolerate even a drop of the devotee's attachment to anything or anyone in the world.

How to overcome worry

Try to enjoy the worry
When worry is inevitable, enjoy it and be wise
Even continued happiness leads to mental worry
Thus happiness and worry must be alternative
If you are worried by the continued happiness
You are worried at the cost of the result of your good effort

Instead of this it is better to get worry at the cost of your sin
Let the sin give some trouble and then you worry out of it
In this way the result of the sin is spent and the not the result of good effort
The loss in your present worry may be compensated in the future
But the time lost in your past worry cannot be compensated
Because the life span of any human being is fixed

Your loss may be compensated by million times in the future
But even one second of your lost time can never be compensated
Therefore, understand this and think about the value of the time
This knowledge of the value of time is called as ‘Kala Janana’
Which means the knowledge of the future that you should know,

Which provides the possibility of the compensation of all the loss
Except the loss of time, therefore, time is the most precious.
You may waste anything that can be again procured in the future,
But never waste the time, which you can never compensate.

There are two ways to escape the mental worry in this world
The first way is by obtaining the peace, which is zero
The second way is by achieving the bliss, which is plus
Worry is minus, peace is zero and bliss is plus
To escape minus, either you should be in zero or in plus

Bliss can be obtained only from the Lord in this world
Since Veda says that the Lord alone is bliss “Anando Brahma”
Veda also says that the Lord alone can give you the bliss
“Esha Hyeva Anandayati” this is quite logical in fact
The water is alone cool and so it alone can give coolness
Whatever is said in the Vedas, it is always logical

What is Moksha or liberation or salvation? [5-01-08]

Actual meaning of Moksha is liberation, now the sense can be according to the context. Suppose somebody is prisoned for him, liberation from jail is Moksha, like that it can be used in general sense. But in spiritual knowledge what is salvation. Liberation from worldly bonds is liberation. When the bond is formed with God the other bonds cannot stay. But here the point is that when the bond is formed with GOD subsequently and spontaneously the bond from the world vanishes. He is liberated from the bonds of the world as soon as the bond with God is formed. So there need not be any effort for liberation, liberation is spontaneous consequence of attachment of your self to God. Once the bond with God is formed the liberation from the world bonds is the spontaneous consequence. It is a natural consequence. There is no need of any effort for liberation. All the effort must be put only for attachment of your self to God. The more you are attached the more you are liberated from the worldly bonds. So it is a natural consequence. All the effort must be put to develop the attachment to God. Devotion is directly proportional to the salvation. More the devotion more will be the salvation. Now for attachment of your self to God the worldly bonds will disturb. So, in the initial stage some effort must be put for liberation also. So that you will get some lone atmosphere and you will avoid the disturbance so that you can hear God. While you are hearing about God you must avoid worldly disturbance. So get rid of worldly bonds and you put effort. After hearing devotion is developed. Once the devotion is developed there is no need of any the effort for liberation. Liberation is a spontaneous consequence. Initially some little effort is need for liberation to develop devotion. So the definition of liberation in the context of spiritual knowledge is the liberation from the worldly bonds, which is a spontaneous consequence of devoti

Who is the human incarnation in the present human generation?

A) In the Chemistry laboratory the practical procedure is given to you and the salt is given. According to the procedure you have to analyze the substance and find out the name of the salt by yourself. Veda says that the infinite true special knowledge, which cannot be preached by any one and which generates love and bliss in our hearts is the main characteristic of the Lord. He possesses super powers but does not use for exhibition due to egoism. By these confirmatory tests you can find out the fullest form of the Lord (Paripurna Avatara) who is Lord Datta himself. Of course all the preachers are the human incarnations of the disciples of Lord Datta. Some are the partial incarnations of Lord Datta like Kalavatara, Amsavatara etc.,

Rituals

Rituals are there in every religion. Their significance is the effect of the external atmosphere. Baptism is a ritual. All rituals indicate the super natural power of the unimaginable God. Astrologers and black magic etc., are not good from the point of the highest real devotees. But from the point of atheists and scientists, they indicate the super natural element, which leads to the existence of God. Therefore, everything in the tradition is positive from the point of the lowest cadre and simultaneously negative from the point of highest devotees. Even the idol worship is good from the point of lowest devotees. They can not accept the present human incarnation due to their ego and jealousy. They cannot see the energetic forms of God by long penance. They can only retain the concept of God through idols and pictures. Jesus on the cross of the chain worn in the neck of every Christian is an idol. Of course, the idol worship is not direct worship of God, because God does not exist in idols. It is only a model or a representative of the concept. We use models in teaching. When you teach the generation of electricity through a model, flow sheet, or diagram, the model is not directly the electric generator. But it represents the concept of production of electricity. Idol worship should be limited only to obtaining a representative vision of God for meditation. Therefore, cleaning the idol by bath and decorating is acceptable. You can also offer food to the idol and feel that you are eating the remains. But you should not say that you have really sacrificed to God. Thus, you can see everything as positive from the lower level.

Sacrifice of everybody and everything – Is the total sacrifice

Sacrifice of everybody and everything – Is the total sacrifice
In which sacrifice of justice – Becomes a part only,
Just to prove that God is – Greater than even the justice.
Gopikas stand for total sacrifice – In which leaving justice is
A part of total sacrifice – They are not the prostitutes,
Who can easily sacrifice justice – For the sake of few rupees
For anybody in the world – No need of the greatest God!
This is the essence of Bhagavata – It should be understood carefully.

Krishna said “Leave all justice” – If you stop here, it is very easy
Because following justice – Involves lot of inconvenience.
You must take the next line – Said by Krishna in the same verse,
“Surrender to Me alone”, - Which is the total sacrifice.

The verse totally means – Sacrifice of justice also
During the total sacrifice – Done for the sake of God.

I am that Dattatreya

I am that Dattatreya born to – sage Atri and mother Anasuya.
I came down from Sahya hill – to establish true spiritual knowledge.
I correct the spiritual preachers, - hence, My students are very few.
In that generation I had only – one student that was Adi Shankara.
The reason is not due to – the high standard of My knowledge.
The only reason is that – My knowledge is the naked truth always.
Truth is not liked by many, - only Maya attracts the masses here.
The gravel stones are plenty, - only one Kohinoor Diamond.
A school-teacher has hundreds of – students surrounding him,
They are always fond of biscuits – and sweets always.
They always like miracles– to fulfill selfish desires.
They like to use God for them, - not to use themselves for God.
Arjuna used God for his work, - he has no temple at all here,
Hanuman used Himself for God’s work, – for Him many temples.

God uses fruit of your bad deed to create devotion in you

God grants certain desires also – to uplift the soul gradually.
God is preacher in this world – He uses the fruits of your deeds
To develop you spiritually, - this world is called as Karma loka,
Where you develop yourself – guided by God acting as preacher.
This world is not to consume – fruits of your good and bad deeds,
For that the upper worlds exist, - they are called as Bhoga Lokas.
God uses fruit of your bad deed – from the list of your punishments
To create devotion in you, - souls are like ignorant children only.

They will never become devotees – by the real devotion here.
They study for five minutes – on giving a small stroke with cane.
They become again mischievous – forgetting the effect of cane.
Similarly, a trouble is a cane, - you will become devoted to God.
You derive happiness, again – you forget devotion, become yourself.
The fruit of your good deed – acts as a gap between two troubles.

The happiness gives a gap – making you fresh for re-devotion
That comes again in the next – trouble, another stoke of cane.
Like this God uses your deeds – in any sequence He likes as per
The requirement of your spiritual – development in this world.

When you are not changed – you will face final enquiry after
This rare human birth and – you will be thrown to hell forever.
If you are good for society – without any devotion to God,
You will be sent to heaven – till the duration of fruit exists,
You will come down to earth, - God acts as a judge only after
Your exit from this human birth, – not as a preacher at all.
Therefore, there is no re-birth, - certainly no human re-birth,
Only for few exceptional cases, - in which there is hope of
Future spiritual development, - God grants human rebirth.
The liberated souls by His – devotion are always with God
Taking human re-births – to assist God in human form here.
dattaswami, Mar 3
Pravrutti and Nivrutti

God comes in human form – to set up Pravrutti and Nivrutti,
For Pravrutti, angels follow Him, - monkeys were angels of Rama,
Pandavas were also angels, - assisted Krishna to protect justice.
For Nivrutti, closest circle and – top most sages follow Him.
Some times God Himself comes – in the role of assistant also.
Gopikas were top most sages, - Radha was God Himself,
Lakshmana was Adishesha, - from innermost circle to show
The path of firm devotion in service, - Hanuman was God Himself.
These groups assisting God are – called as Ganas, He is their Lord,
Hence, He is called as Ganapathi, - all divine names stand for Him.
He is Brahma since greatest here, - He is Vishnu pervading world by
His preaching of divine knowledge, - Narayana means source of
Divine knowledge only, Shiva means – sacred in spite of the Maya
Exhibited by Him in testing devotees, - Satguru is the final meaning.
dattaswami, Mar 3
Yoga means reaching God here

Gita is called as Yoga Shastra since – Yoga means reaching God here
After recognizing His human form, - Yoga means union, it is reaching
The contemporary human incarnation, - Krishna during that time.
Recognition itself is very difficult, - retaining is very very difficult,
Since He throws away devotees – by exhibiting powerful Maya.
The first five steps of yoga of – Patanjali give achievement of
Perfect physical and mental health – required for divine service.
It is the stage essential for drama, - today people stop here only.

The next three steps of Yoga – give firm service to God here.
Dharana is bond with God, - Dhyana is concentration of that bond,
Samadhi is firm decision without – any vibration in the bond.
Hanuman is the best example – for the eight steps of Yoga.
Today people prepare stage, - by following the first five steps.
Pratyahara is the fifth step – in which you withdraw from world.
By that you save mental energy – without any dissipation of it.
Then you concentrate all that – in the service of the Lord here.
While crossing sea, angels tested – Hanuman for His mental power.
Apart from physical strength – it is also essential in His service.
Today after the fifth step, - Yoga is used to concentrate mental power
By withdrawing it from society – to focus it on self and his family!
After fifth step, diversion is done – from the line of God to family.
By this, Yoga is no more divine, - it becomes only a medical science.
Patanjali fixed Lord as goal of Yoga, - the chakras are only whirlpools
That try to swallow the swimmer – trying to reach the other bank,God.
Chakras have no physical significance, - they are only simile for bonds
Other than God, cross them not straight, - but by a curving turn only.

Cross-whirlpool in the same way, - cross Maya by using Maya only.
You have to know both sincerity and – tactful cheating to reach God.
Sincerity in the bond to God, - tactics in the worldly bonds is needed.
Shankara cheated
