Wow! That was really, really a great poem. I think that the ending is happy in a way that many people wish for-- an accepting environment. It goes from fear to approval. Is this an experience that happened to you? I also think that your definitions of sex, gender and identity are valid and simply put. Does anyone have anything else to add to the definitions? I'm still trying to completely understand the differences myself. Anyways, great piece!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts as you work out definitions regarding sex, gender and identity. It is accurate that these concepts can be confusing partly because gender as we know it is a social construct of a heterosexist society. Gender Identity, Gender Expression, Sexual Orientation and Biological Sex are four distinct aspects of identity. I am going to attach a chart to my channel that demonstrates there are many possibilities related to identity. On the chart I placed biological sex at the bottom of the four identifiers, because I view that as the least relevant. Have you ever really thought about what the first thing is said about us when we're born? We are tagged without input.
