I got a new mic today - a Sennheiser e609s, which is great at what it says it's great at - micing guitar speakers. I wanted to get an idea of how good it worked, so I plugged my Lentz SSL into my Booker V12MA amp, stuck the mic there, and cranked up. I got some great sounds, but mostly just jamming. While I was listening back, I turned on my Lexicon 200 reverb and put it into the mix. Put the send on pre-fader, put the Lex on solo and then started messing with the 'Infinite Reverb' feature. Basically, it takes a basic chamber program and lets you sample a bit in and then make it reverberate for an infinite amount of time, without sounding overly loopy. What you hear here is me turning on and off the IR to add and subtract guitar tones to the wash of sound. This was my first go, a short piece that builds and lets go. Instant Eno!
