My neighbor Rudy rode/walked his bike the 1.7 miles to the local diner on Route 7 and back every day for the more than 30 years that I knew him. The diner burned down this winter, during his final stay in the hospital, all that’s left is a concrete foundation.
Today, starting and finishing at Rudy's driveway, I rode/walked this route between 10 and 11am EST-- traversing space, time, and memory-- to connect with Rudy, and with my colleagues, (who were in many different time zones) simultaneously creating their own pieces on the theme of Distance.
