Group photo of the US delegation to the 1976 OISTAT (International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects, and Techicians) conference in Prague, Czechoslovakia held in conjunction with the 1975 Prague Quadrennial Exhibition of Sceneography and Theater Architecture. The group was made up of educators, professional designers, ten graduate students and representatives of the top equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and was arranged by the USITT (United States Institute for Theater Technology).
The photo was taken in Amersterdam on the way to Prague. Eddy Kook, head of Century Lighting, is the gentleman front and center. Gilbert Hemsley is on the end, right side. Joel Rubin, co-founder and president of the USITT at the time, is in the blue suite with the cigar.
