This is Phil Read racing against Martin Stamatis at the 2008 Willowbank Winternationals.
With amazing weather conditions, both cars hurtled off the line before the supercharger belts on both cars departed. However Stamatis' belt stayed on longer for his 4.7 second win.
The onboard footage looking at the engine is from the Stamatis machine, but no video data was recorded on Read's dragster from the violent tyre shake he experienced on the run.
