You are totaly right, bigger crop look a bit better in that way.

I like this, but i would like it more if the boy was more to the right looking into the rest of the picture than on the left looking out of the picture. Although this would probably take away from the think he's sitting on. Showing more of the bottom of the picture would have worked well in my opinion too. Overall I like the soft colors, makes the picture look "calm"
