The west size of the south island of NZ is pretty amazing. There is so much diversity. At the same elevation as the glacier there is rain forest (not seen here). It was a nice clear day but still pretty chilly on the glacier. In our group we had French, Candian's, German's, and Swiss and one fabulous Hawaiian :)
