it was alot of fun putting this together for the reunion committee,, i hope i am able to do more in the future,, dino ellena class of 1980
The Last Zabby
Do you realize that zabbies are a dying breed?

That as time passes, the alumni.. along with list of zhs reunion and
group members will slowly decrease in numbers..?

The early 1990's saw the last inductees into the zhs list of alumni, spanning
four decades of eager freshmen,sophomores and juniors,awaiting their senior year.

I have often wondered; how many zabbies are out there?
How many out there wonder about me?
How many are looking for freinds from zab?
How many of us tell our kids of our overseas experiences,,?
that traveling as an american in foreign country's , was a fun exciting time.
terrorism was a term not used by us,,it was a third world problem.

How many of our kids understand that there parents are of a militarized
background,during a peaceful few decades when the military family
was not a scary,,unpredictable way of life.?It was our way of life!

It was what made there parents who they are today.

The small town of Zab is now grown with weeds, and the buildings
with there fading paint and tattered roofs give our hometown an eerie
ghost town atmoshere to it.

The old high school ,once filled with laughter, and the hustle and bustle
of young adults just waiting to bust out of the grips and control
of the faculty members and mentors who will forever be apart of there fondest memories,
now lies silent and empty ,,slowly deteriorating ,,one day to be removed permanantly.


I often wonder, who out there will be the last zabby.
who will tell the last story of Zaragoza American High School?
I hope me and all of you are part of that story.
