We are fostering 2 tiny kittens for our local shelter until they are big enough for adoption. They are 8 weeks and 9 weeks old now, and will stay with us till they are 2 pounds each. The shelters are over crowded and foster families are desperately needed. What a treat for us! William named the black one Xerxes and the gray one Azul.
Alfie loves it! He was annoyed the first day but warmed up very quickly and is very attached to Xerxes now. He can take or leave Azul. Fostering is so wonderful! We would do it always if Bill wasn't allergic to cats, but so far no ill affects for him. The shelters are overflowing and need foster families to care for kittens until they're big enough to be neutered and adopted. It works out well for everyone. We get a massive kitten fix and the kitties aren't stuck in a cage. Right now there are no cages - the shelters are overflowing so foster families are desperately needed. I think Brumby and Bean would love a little friend or two!

They're adorable! Does Alfie like being a "dad" to those kittens? That whole fostering thing looks tempting...
