This is my 01 Corolla LE. It has silverstream opalescent paint with light charcoal interior. It currently has 99k miles, drives great and gets 31mpg. It has tinted windows with a tinted windshield brow, Borbet B wheels with BF Goodrich Traction T/A tires and Akebono ceramic brake pads. It has the cd player installed below the radio tape player and I disabled the daytime driving lights so I now can choose which lights to use and when to turn them off.
For some reason I had loud startup pinging with Pennzoil 5w30 so I use Havoline now and that solved the issue. I also use the Wix 51396 filter and change the oil every 5k miles. When it's time to change it the oil is clean on the dipstick and is the color of soy sauce out of the oil pan. The oil used to turn black after 1k miles back when I was using Toyota filters along with the Mobil5000 oil variant that they used at their dealerships which eventually caused varnish buildup in the crankcase, but a treatment of Seafoam cleaned it out.
Recently it developed a valve gasket leak so I replaced the gasket. Oil started leaking from another seal so I poured in a bottle of ATP AT205 resealer. It worked in a few days and the leaks were closed. I had to drain the oil since there were a lot of carbon particles in it from the cleaned seals. I saved a lot of money by not having to replace the other gasket.
