Upload to Ovi with a compatible device

Compatible devices

You can upload your photos and videos to Ovi Share directly from the following compatible devices:

• N78
• N79
• N85
• N96
• E71
• E66
• 6220 classic
• 6210 navigator
• 5310 XpressMusic
• 5800 XpressMusic
• 7100 Supernova
• 6260 slide
• N95 (software version 3.0 or higher)
• N95 8GB (software version 3.0 or higher)
• N82 (software version 3.0 or higher)

To check the software version of your device, enter *#0000#.

Devices that require a software update

The following devices are also compatible with Ovi Share, but require a software update:

• N81
• N76
• N73
• N71
• N95 (software version 2.x or lower)
• N95 8GB (software version 2.x or lower)
• N82 (software version 3.0 2.x or lower)

To download and install Share Online to your device, do the following:

1. Open the Download! application in your device.

2. Select the Share Online application.

3. Download and install Share Online.

4. To complete the installation, restart your device.

Upload to Ovi

The first time you try to upload your photos, you are asked to sign in by entering your user name and password.

If you do not have a Nokia account yet, you will be guided through the process of creating a new account.

To upload photos to Ovi Share, do the following:

• Select the photo you want to upload.
• Depending on your device model, select Options > Send > Ovi Share or Options > Send > Upload to web > Ovi Share

To take a new photo, and upload it to Ovi Share, do the following:

• Take a photo with your device.
• From the toolbar, select the Send icon, and Post to web > Ovi, or to upload the photo directly to your account, select the Upload icon.

Shortcuts to Ovi Share in your device

Depending on your device model, you may find additional shortcuts that you can use to access Ovi Share:

• Standby or home screen. The first time you select this shortcut, you must enter your user name and password.
• After you have entered your user name and password, the shortcut shows a summary of new items and comments from your contacts. To browse the most recent media from your contacts, select the shortcut.
• Device main menu. The location may vary between different devices.
• Gallery or Photos folders.
• Multimedia menu. Available in some Nseries devices.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I see Ovi in the list of sharing services available in my device?

Ovi may not be available in your country, or your service provider may not support Ovi Share . Contact community.share@ovi.com for more information.

Why do I get authentication errors?

If you get an authentication error when entering your user name and password, make sure the time and date in your device are set correctly. Ovi will not accept your user name and password if your device is set to an incorrect time or date.

Can I use Ovi Share if I do not have a compatible device?
