High water bills?

Jennifer and Jim’s water bills were huge. No matter how they conserved, high bills continued. They checked for leaks or problems with water meter, outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc. -- all to no avail. One day Jim stayed home sick, and kept hearing water running downstairs. Tearing himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of the high water bills. Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the 'problem' for posterity.

Are Mimi the cat's offspring the first known cases of interbreeding between cats and dogs? Her litter of six, born in Passo Fundo, Brazil, contained three doglike offspring. Their three siblings with more feline features died soon after birth.
Mimi's owner, Cassia Aparecida de Souza, claims Mimi was found mating with a neighborhood dog three months ago and that her offspring are (supposedly) a result of that encounter.

Dogs and cats belong to distinct species, meaning that they should be unable to interbreed. A geneticist from a local university plans to analyze blood samples from the animals in an attempt to get to the bottom of the mystery.

As lion are seen as the kings of the beasts on land, so tiger fish are Africa's freshwater piscatorial predators. They are the most extraordinary species in freshwater with the power and aggression of many of their saltwater brethren. Amazingly they often continue to attack the fly until they are hooked and the fight is hard and brutal, often punctuated with aerial acrobatics and long hard runs. The experience of fishing for them in the unique surroundings which Africa affords should place this thoroughly underrated fish towards the top of any fisherman's list. Although tiger fish are active all the year round, the best time coincides with the end of the floods as the flood water which has been on the plain is sucked back into the river. This pulls all the baitfish, which have been breeding in the flooded areas, into the waiting packs of tiger fish.

If you don't already think animals are far more spiritually advanced than we humans, think again. Stuart Brown describes Norbert Rosing's striking images of a wild polar bear coming upon tethered sled dogs in the wilds of Canada 's Hudson Bay. The photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his dogs when the polar bear wandered in, but the Polar Bear returned every night that week to play with the dogs.
