A great song by Carlos David. Quite possibly, he was one of the best Merengue voices cultivated in the 80s decade in the Dominican Republic showbiz landscape. He had a few hits with the Bonny Cepeda Orchestra before landing a recording contract with Mr. Bienvenido Rodriguez' Karen Records, a label responsible for the biggest Merengue acts in history.
Carlos David had a sweet, boyish personality and a peculiar performing style which include falsettos and theatrics. This piece titled "Esa Nina No Me Quiere" was one of the hits included in his first solo album (Karen Records).

He went on to receiving lots of airplay and gigs on television and night clubs throughout the country. His fame extended to South America, Central America, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and other European countries.

"Esa Nina No Me Quiere" is another arrangement made by the genius of Manuel Tejada.

Merengue For Ever Con Bonny Cepeda! Asesina: a one-of-a-kind Merengue performed and arranged by Bonny Cepeda a.k.a El Maestro Joven (The Young Master). He earned this nickname because of his brilliance, old Merengueros were quick to recognize his talent and peculiar style.Note the nice intro sung in English and Spanish, something not many have done successfully like Bonny.
In the world of Merengue, that is.

The musical arrangement is unconventional since at the time Dominican merengueros were not using synthetizers as skillfully as Bonny Cepeda.

He's also the lead singer in this piece, his brother Richie helped in the chorus, as usual.
These two brothers were practically inseparable, they were a winning formula in music-making.

The mambos and overall music for this song make it memorable because this guy really crafted a good product which had a nice welcome by the industry and the people.

He became extremely popular and received a lot of airplay in DR, PR, the U.S. Central, South America and Europe.

Bonny Cepeda is a legend in the history of Merengue, his contributions have been invaluable, many other singers and band directors relied on him for arrangements that helped many Merengue songs become hits in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Among them we count Fernando Villalona, Wilfrido Vargas, Los Kenton, etc.

Merengue For Ever salutes Bonny Cepeda and recognizes his talent and the quality of his work.

Merengue For Ever With Benny Sadel! Alza Tu Copa is the title of this song by Benny Sadel, one of the voices from the 80s that still has impact on consumers of Merengue still in the 21st century. His peculiar style enabled him to maintain his relevance throughout the years. He has recorded many hits during his career. In this song, the arrangement and execution of keyboard by Ramon Orlando are ingredients that add to the overall flavor. Our good friend Candido Cruz (Cafe) recorded the congas in the entire album. Note the sweet intensity of the percussion in this piece. Piano performance by Ramon Orlando is splendid, Bass execution and its chord progression are right on the money, this is an excellent sample of a piece that's simply long lasting, international, classy Merengue.

Merengue For Ever Con La Orquesta Internacional! Ramon Orlando and his Orquesta Internacional perform this song titled "Gotas De Pena". Great lyrics, and great vocals by Feny Ortiz, who was lead singer for the band. The overall arangement and the execution of every instrument, are definitely superb, the band was an All Star cast at the time. (Late 80s and early90s) Ramon Orlando shows us once again why he's regarded as one of the greatest Dominican musicians of all time who helped shape the careers of many successful singers and musicians in the Dominican Republic. The nice A Capella intro with Feny doing both voices, treats us to a delightful vocal performance by a humble, unassuming guy, who is, without a doubt, one of the most melodic Merengue singers in history. This is (in all regards) one of many masterpieces from the band that set a new standard in Merengue during the 80s and beyond.

Merengue For Ever Con Nelson Cordero (El Varon)! El Varon, Nelson Cordero is the singer's name. Released in 1984 in New York City, band was named El Conjunto Elegante because of their expensive clothing. Song was arranged by Koki Acosta, who was at the time, a serious up and coming keyboard player, arranger, singer and band leader.
