"The next person to inspire me": Mrs Patel from our local Post Office, about to be closed down by incompetence and greed in government and the privatised Post Office. After 35 years of service to our community - what does she get? An OBE? No. Termination.

The Government are currently engaged in a disgraceful act of cultural vandalism. I believe that in 10-20 years - and beyond - they will be remembered for two things: The Iraq War, and the loss of the Post Offices.

For the sake of a mere £200m per year, they are closing the last remaining centres of community in thousands of towns, villages and urban neighbourhoods. This is a brief interview with Mrs Patel, who has run our Post Office for 35 years. Two posts offices within half a mile of here are closing. Seven in our Borough. (and of course thousands throughout the country.) We have a higher density of older and disabled people in this ward than anywhere else in the borough - people who will lose vital services.

London says goodbye as we emigrate.

Of the 200 or so films that I've made with my phone in the last year, I think this is the one I like the most.

We went on our favorite London walk for the last time yesterday - along the River Thames at Hammersmith.

In two and a half weeks, we're moving to Canada.

I started shooting a plane in the clouds, thinking about making a film about us leaving, and suddenly something magical happened...

...and kept on happening! Instead of fading, they got brighter and more intense!

In mythology, religion, art, literature, music and film, the Rainbow is a powerful symbol, a sign of hope and life and new beginnings.

Someone who inspired me AND the best part of today!

It's a Lumiere Rules video: silent, fixed camera, 1 min max - Lumiere Rules recreates the conditions faced by the Lumiere Brothers when they invented film.

This is Michael Franti and Spearhead at the Big Time Out festival on Vancouver Island. It was shot backstage.

It was an amazing gig - in fact I knew it'd be easier for you to get a sense of how amazing it was in silhouette and silence than filming the front of the stage. ENERGY!

"HOW YA FEEEELLINNNNN????" is his trademark scream to the crowd.

I handed the camera to Kate today. We were in Burnham Beeches, just outside London. The colours are incredible this year. Another thing I’ll miss in evergreen Vancouver Island.

I was trying to persuade her to sing her song The Falling of the Leaves (a Yeats poem she set to music - you can hear it on her myspace.com/katedimbleby page) so that I could use it as a soundtrack for the other moments I shot all around the woods. But this is better.

I think I’m going to give her the camera more often.

This was a taxi ride from from our holiday cottage in Devon, to the train station 20 minutes away in the nearest town. Definitely the best part of the day!

There are roads like this throughout the UK, and whenever I drive them, there's a little part of me that pretends I'm attacking the Death Star.

My little 2 and a half year old daughter can't get enough of this video. She asks for it every day. She calls it "The Car Going Fast Video"

Shaky, because it was one of the first things I shot and cut with my phone...

At 6.53pm exactly a year ago today, there was a flashmob at Victoria Station in London. If you don’t know, the idea of a flashmob is that everyone gathers, and at the appointed time, starts doing something together. In this case, dancing to the music in their headphones. A silent rave. These used to be small things, with a few dozen people quietly dancing while the commuters looked on in confusion. Not any more.

I know it's over the 2 minute limit, but thought I'd see if I could share here, as it's a very Pangea Day kind of thing :)

This was originally made for Videoblog Deathmatch last year.

I know it's too long to qualify for the Pangea Day Nokia Mobile Filmmaking Awards, but it's still Mobile Filmmaking at its most creative & chaotic, and it features London landmarks like Big Ben & Downing Street & Television Centre. So... it was one of my mobile films that I thought best fitted in with the whole idea of Pangea Day... :)
