one of my friends said "oh? you went to see the buddha in chiba? that ones so new" and compared to the one made in kamakura or whatever... yeah i guess its new.. but this thing was made before the United States was a country.. to me that makes this a old buddha!

Japanese "home style" comfort food establishments often serve food like this.. i was hunting around my area with kayo and we found this small dinky little greasy spoon-ish dinner... dirty tables, and a hand written menu on the wall (no paper menu) and two countryfolk seeming owners... they were nice enough, talked with us while we ate the meal... although some of their questions towards me were a bit racist, but i just didnt care, it was more niave racism, instead of them trying to be mean... good food
