The Rikets stopped by the KATT booth during Discorus 2006 at the Zoo Amphitheater. They were on the bill and I had a chance to talk with Scotty and Provo, and Timmy joined us late in the interview. Seemed to me that they were having a few troubles on the road and it was imperative that the public know. This was the very same day Adrian Peterson broke his collarbone against Iowa State.

I had like two secs, according to management, to talk to Billy Howerdel. In walks James Iha, he takes the mic and recording device right out of my hand and runs out the door into the venue (The Lloyd Noble Center in Norman). The Mars Volta is the band playing in the background, James identifies the band as he gives his running tour. Mike Mostellar retrieves the mic and I had a chance to ask Billy a couple of routine, rookie-like, radio questions.
